Looking for a fun, rewarding way to kick off 2027? Why not join Team Purple Heart Wishes for our Christmas TreeCycle collection?

From Friday 8 to Monday 11 January 2027, we'll be collecting real Christmas trees from homes across our designated collection areas, helping local residents recycle their trees while raising vital funds for Purple Heart Wishes.

But we can't do it without you!

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers, local businesses and community supporters to help make this year's collection a success.

Whether you can spare a few hours, a full day or provide equipment, we'd love to hear from you!

💜 How can you get involved?

🚐 Volunteer drivers

We're looking for confident drivers who can help us collect Christmas trees using our collection vans.

You'll be part of a friendly team, travelling around designated collection areas and helping us keep everything running smoothly.

🎄 Tree collection volunteers

Don't fancy driving? No problem!

We also need volunteers to accompany our drivers, helping to collect and load Christmas trees into the vans.

It's a great opportunity to get outdoors, have a laugh, meet new people and do something positive to start the year.

No previous volunteering experience is necessary – just a willingness to get stuck in!

🤝 Corporate volunteering opportunities

Does your workplace offer paid volunteering days or encourage employees to support local charities?

We're particularly looking for businesses that could release employees for a day of volunteering on:

Friday 8th January
Saturday 9th January
Sunday 10th January
Monday 11th January

Corporate volunteering is a fantastic way to bring colleagues together, support a local cause and make a meaningful difference in your community.

Whether you can provide two volunteers or an entire team, we'd love to discuss how your business could get involved.

🌱 Can you help with tree chipping?

We're also looking for local businesses or individuals who may be able to support the recycling process.

In particular, we're looking for:

• Access to a suitable wood chipper, ideally with an experienced operator.
• Suitable land or facilities where the resulting wood chippings can be responsibly deposited or put to good use.

If you have equipment, facilities or relevant expertise that could help, we'd be incredibly grateful to hear from you.

💜 Why volunteer with Purple Heart Wishes?

Purple Heart Wishes grants wishes to adults aged 18–55 who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, helping them create precious memories with the people they love.

Our Christmas TreeCycle collection provides a convenient way for local residents to recycle their Christmas trees in exchange for a donation.

Every tree collected helps us raise vital funds towards creating more wishes.

By volunteering, you're doing so much more than collecting Christmas trees. You're helping us turn an everyday post-Christmas task into something truly meaningful.

And hopefully having plenty of fun along the way!
