Testimonials from some of the families and organisations involved in a wish

We have been back from our weekend in Padstow for a few days now and we haven’t stopped smiling.

Purple Heart Wishes arranged absolutely everything for us making it an effortless trip. Padstow Lodge where we stayed (thanks to Paul & Nicky the lodge owners) was incredible, looking over the rolling hills above Padstow. We went on lovely walks, skimmed stones on the beach, and crabbing in the harbour.

We also had the most wonderful surprise waiting for us on our return from a walk, a gorgeous hamper containing award winning afternoon cream tea and other lovely treats from Liz & David, at the Teacup Tearooms, Mevagissey.

We have made some amazing memories that will be treasured forever! The trip has given Paul the strength to start his 12th round of chemo and we cannot thank Purple Heart Wishes enough for this wonderful wish.

Thank you Purple Heart Wishes for giving our family the opportunity of a lifetime.

We had the best time at Legoland and enjoyed lots of the rides.

The Lego themed hotel was amazing. It was absolutely brilliant being able to spend time together as a family.

Thank you - to all of you, we are so grateful

Adam (husband to Lori)

I just wanted to say a massive thankyou to everyone at Purple Heart Wishes that made our trip to Legoland possible. We all had an amazing time and my youngest boy said it was the 'best day of his life’

It was so nice to get away from the worries and stress we face each day and just have some family time and make loads of fun memories.

Thanks so much from all of us.

Nikki and family

I cannot thank Purple Heart Wishes enough for arranging for me and my family, to go on a trip to Port Lympne Safari Park.

We had the most amazing time. The charity was very kind in providing us with the experience of a life time, we got to make memories and enjoy a fantastic day as a family.

They organised everything for us, we didn’t need to worry about a thing, and also arranged for us to have lovely lunch.

This really is an amazing charity

Thank you so much

Thank you so much to Purple Heart Wishes for granting a very special wish for a very special young person.  I had the greatest privilege of meeting V, aged 21, in my role as Social Worker for Young Lives vs Cancer, Children's Cancer Charity.  V had an incurable cancer diagnosis.  I knew that she was palliative when I met her and so the purpose of my role was to help her make memories.

Whilst V lived in the hope that she would get better, she understood the severity of her situation and wanted to show her parents and siblings, how much they meant to her.  She wanted more than anything to have a surprise party for them to say 'thank you' because, she said, without their support she wouldn't have got through everything that she had.

Determined to keep it a secret from her family, she enlisted my help.  V dreamed big!  She wanted a celebrity chef to come to the home and cook a 3-course meal, we were lucky enough to secure celebrity chef Ryan Riley.  For entertainment, she wanted a Murder Mystery theme complete with actor support and Murder, Mystery and Mayhem did not fail to deliver.  Hair and make-up for her mum (whom she said must be made to feel special on the day), presents, decorations and more!  And I wanted to deliver on all!

The biggest issue I was faced with was how to get it done.  Once a young person reaches over 18, the treats and wishes available to them drastically reduce, so charities like Purple Heart Wishes are worth more than their weight in gold!  I approached the charity to see what they could do. Not only did the charity deliver but they went above and beyond, delivering V the day she had envisioned but also in walking beside me through the highs and the lows as I watched V slowly deteriorate, hoping she would be well enough to enjoy the day that was giving her so much fight and focus.

After weeks of secretly planning, the day arrived! The party went ahead as planned and was a success. None of us realised at the time that it would be the last meal the family would have together.  Sadly, a short time after V passed away.

The wish granted by Purple Heart Wishes not only created memories that the family will treasure forever but it was a final act of love from V to her family, helping them to fully understand just how much each of them meant to her.

Thank you

Testimonial on behalf of Miroslava (wishee) from her Husband:

Further to our recent holiday at Tattersall Lakes, I wanted to let you know that both of our girls (Natalia & Nicole) were very happy and had been counting down the days with such excitement. leading up to our break away.

We haven’t had a holiday in a very long time. The girls have experienced so much in their lives, worrying about their Mum (Miroslava) who in the last couple of years has been fighting for her life and continues her battle. Although it was Miroslava’s wish, all she wanted was for her daughters to be happy and to create wonderful memories, this has been achieved with this lovely break away.

Thankyou Purple Heart Wishes and all the people who donated towards our holiday. Your kindness is so appreciated. You all contributed to a beautiful memory the girls will keep it in their hearts and minds forever.

Purple Heart Wishes supported our family with a break to one of the Welsh Haven Park Holiday sites. Purple Heart Wishes, wish granting team, dealt with everything for us.

They booked everything all we had to do was just turn up! They couldn’t have been more helpful and we are very grateful for everything they did.

The break itself was exactly what we needed. The caravan was perfect for us; it was in a beautiful setting, serene and tranquil, it was what we needed as a family. We spent time together, we were able to relax and we have come away with some very special memories.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the Team at Purple Heart Wishes. Thanks to all of you I was able to take my son and his girlfriend with me to Anfield on Wednesday 31st August to watch a live premiership league football match against Newcastle.

I have fond memories as a single Mum of taking him as a boy to Anfield as a special treat. The last match we had been too prior to Wednesday was 17 years ago for my birthday. We lost 1-0 to Chelsea!

We had an amazing time on Wednesday and the winning goal in the 98th minute truly made for very special memories for us all.

Thank you Fran 💜

Thank you to everyone at Purple Heart Wishes. Thanks to your kind donation, you enabled the family to spend a few precious days away in paradise, in an adapted lodge at Center Parcs Woburn.

The break allowed my Dad to have independence and peace surrounded by his loved ones.

It was also a chance for my daughter and Dad to share their first holiday together and create so many happy memories. The image of Dad submerged in the hot tub with his family is truly a memory we will all keep forever. He was smiling the entire weekend and we are all so incredibly grateful. Thank you again ❤️❤️

We cannot thank Purple Heart Wishes enough for our recent trip to Legoland. My husband, myself and three children were living our normal life when a routine blood test showed the possibility that I might have myeloma (a type of incurable blood cancer). Further tests revealed that this was sadly the reality and our life turned upside down. I had to explain the diagnosis to our three young children and cancel our Florida holiday that we had planned for 5 years.

Purple Heart Wishes gave us a welcome short break and well needed family time. We had a great time and built so many happy memories which took our minds off the reality for a short time - thank you Purple Heart Wishes it meant so much to us.
